Hello! I'm an experienced ESL/EFL tutor and I've worked with kids and adults of all ages. I've studied many languages in my life (Russian, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Hindi, and Georgian) so I know lots of great language-learning techniques. Do you like to watch funny videos, listen to music, and read texts about interesting topics? I know I do! In my experience, this is a GREAT way to learn a language, because the material is fun and memorable. But I'm also very good at explaining grammar and creating practice exercises. I know that sometimes people just want a native speaker to answer questions about English and to have conversations with. I would be glad to do this for you, because I've been in your position!
My other tutoring fields of expertise include college and grad school application essays, all K-8 subjects, high school English and history, general editing and proofreading, the US citizenship exam, accent reduction, Russian, and Bulgarian. I love working with children and have direct experience teaching and tutoring children from ages 8-18.
A little bit about myself: I grew up in Cambridge and graduated from Harvard two years ago with a major in government and a minor in linguistics. I'm thinking about a career in education and I'm currently exploring that by tutoring and volunteering in schools. I just finished a year teaching English to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in the Republic of Georgia and it was the best experience of my life! My hobbies include traveling, dancing, learning languages, hiking, and cooking.
