I tutor mechanical engineering subjects such as statics, strength of materials, structural analysis, and vibrations. I also tutor linear algebra and multivariable calculus, which are needed to understand finite element analysis.

Style
I believe in building a strong conceptual foundation. I have seen a small investment of time into mastering the basics make learning throughout the semester exponentially faster, easier, and rewarding.

Experience
I graduated from MIT with an SB in Civil Engineering, and I am a mechanical EIT with lots of teaching and tutoring experience. I taught linear algebra for MIT's high school summer program; I worked as a science instructor at the Newman School in Back Bay; and I have been tutoring BU, MIT, and NEU students for the last four years.

Location
I can reserve a quiet study room equipped with whiteboards for meeting near the Kendall/MIT red line stop. I am also available for online tutoring through Scribblar, an online whiteboard.

Linear Algebra

I took linear algebra at MIT, and the concepts I learned reappeared ubiquitously throughout my engineering coursework. Because of this, I am very familiar with both the theory and engineering applications. I taught an informal introduction to linear algebra class and also have experience tutoring undergraduate-level linear algebra.
