For more than ten years, I have taught students ranging in age from 18 to 60 years in psychology, research, and statistics, and have been nominated as "student favorite" at East Carolina University.
As an educational psychologist, I have expertise in how people learn and I will work closely with students to personalize sessions to their needs. I start by learning what students already know about a topic and identifying a student's learning goals. Tutoring time is spent deeply engaged in learning new things and building speed and fluency with difficult ideas so that when the time comes to really perform, students won't have to worry that they can't remember what they learned.
