"Possibly the best tutor around the Boston area"
Kathleen from Newtonville, MA on 9/7/10
Marc has been, unfailingly, the most wonderful, generous, intelligent, and patient tutor we ever could have hoped for. My granddaughter had recently been diagnosed with ADHD and, although she has very high intelligence, was doing badly in math and other courses. Marc took her on, and she was happy, HAPPY, to spend 2 full hours twice a week drilling over Algebra 1 and 2 in preparation for her going into a small, exclusive private school--where, we can only hope, she will have teacher/tutors who are any where near as good as Marc has been.
Pattie from Cambridge, MA on 8/12/13
Marc is a great tutor. He is extremely well prepared (and does not charge for the time he puts into prep). He is patient and explains things clearly. He has tutored both of our sons. Our oldest one went from low 600s to 740 on his SAT math test thanks to Marc.
Joel from West Roxbury, MA on 6/27/13
Marc was excellent. I haven't taken a math course in years, and Marc was very patient and understanding. He did a good job explaining mathematics (statistics in particular) in a simple and transparent way.
"Marc is a Gifted and Adaptable Teacher"
Marla from Brookline, MA on 4/19/13
Marc is a truly gifted teacher who is patient and calm and not only knows the material incredibly well, but also has a great teaching style and the ability to present material in different ways until he hits on one that works. Marc's rare ability to read his student and adapt his teaching style was really amazing to watch. Marc has a wonderful calm manner and he teaches the material AND learning strategies to instill both knowledge and confidence. He easily taught our son material that stumped two other AP Chemistry tutors and helped him move from a D+ in the first quarter to a B+ on his midterm one quarter later, to scoring a 4 on the AP exam. He worked his magic again helping to review first semester of college calculus and get our son confident and ready for the second semester over winter break. THANKS MARC!
"Keeps up to date on university curriculum, extremely patient."
Emily from Boston, MA on 3/20/13
I have been meeting with Marc for 4 weeks now, and thanks to his help my chemistry grade has moved from a D to a B. He studies the specific textbook, syllabus and any recent curriculum developments, and comes to each of my tutoring sessions so well prepared about exactly how BU is teaching the subject and how I need to approach the topic and problems. He is very patient, and is excellent at detecting when my struggle stems from misunderstanding a foundational topic. He is always willing to backtrack and explain a problem in different ways until I understand. He is the best tutor in Boston.
"My daughter is improving rapidly!"
Shelley from Chestnut Hill, MA on 3/17/13
My daughter continues to find the sessions very valuable. Marc is patient and has a wonderful way of interacting with her that she finds clear and yet challenging.
"Simply the Best"
Sam from Boston, MA on 3/11/13
My experience with Marc was fantastic. As a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music, my math skills were rather rusty. After weeks of self-study for the GRE, I found myself in dire need for a helping hand. Marc gave his all towards helping me reach my full potential. He initially spent time analyzing my weaknesses, then targeted those areas with different online and offline resources. Marc was very communicative, flexible, encouraging, but also honest and realistic. He will help you find the best ways to improve, but it is up to YOU to do the work. The 3 weeks I spent with Marc led to a 5 point (or 20%) increase in my GRE score, and while I worked extremely hard for every point, I owe much of my achievement to his guidance. I would absolutely recommend Marc to anyone looking for a tutor, be it in math or any other subject he offers. Thanks Marc!

Marc has "filled in the gaps" in IB Chemistry and Math for my daughter who is a high school senior. His explanations are clear and concise and she enjoys working with him. I'm glad someone so bright and skilled at teaching has been available to us.
"My math shrink!"
Sol from Medford, MA on 11/14/12
Marc tutored me on my GRE quantitative section review. I learned a lot from Marc, mainly to calm down (I have severe math phobia), think things through and apply ways of reasoning that are essential to answering GRE quant questions. He's very patient, extremely knowledgeable and clear. He really knows how to zero in on weak spots and devise ways to strengthen them through specific exercises. I've done GRE math review before, elsewhere, and Marc was definitely a much better teacher. Highly recommended for people with a deep fear of math!
Susanna from Braintree, MA on 5/27/12
Marc was my tutor for statistics. He explained everything in simple terms, was patient, and extremely knowledgeable! I passed and my grades improved remarkably!! Thank you MARC!
Shaheen from Allston, MA on 5/8/12
Marc has solid understanding in Biology and good teaching technic. It helped my student a lot. I am going to use Marc service in coming future.
John from Belmont, MA on 4/18/12
Marc di a great job in helping my son with his AP calculus work. Looking forward to working with him further. Highly recommended.
"Excellent, engaging, down to earth, knows his stuff"
Heather from Belmont, MA on 3/28/12
Marc is a wonderful tutor: he engages both our 11 and 16 year-old daughters and is easy for them to understand. He has an obvious mastery of the subject materials (so far Geometry and Chemistry for us) and is excellent at translating that knowledge into organized lessons that the kids comprehend easily.
We have enough experience with teachers and tutors to know quality when we see it, and Marc is the genuine article. We are very pleased.
KAREN from Brookline, MA on 3/15/12
Marc has been tutoring our 13 year old daughter for a couple of months, and as a tutor he is fearless. Completely knowledgeable about Math and Science, and therefore well-prepared, as well as flexible and imaginative. Although obviously able to tutor to a much more advanced level, Marc has tailored the classes to our daughter's needs. Outstanding.
"Best Tutor for Science and Mathematics Courses"
Stuart from Chestnut Hill, MA on 8/15/11
With Marc's help, I was able to get an A in Chem2 and Calc2 at Boston University, after having gotten C's in the first semester courses without his help. He really knows his stuff and has a ridiculous amount of experience tutoring for specific math/science syllabi. On occasion its helpful to let him know what material you need help with beforehand so he can review and be prepared.
Great guy and a highly recommended tutor.
"Excellent all round"
Noreen from Winchester, MA on 3/25/11
I can't say enough positive things about Marc. Exceptional tutor, very patient, pleasant and really knows his chemistry. He made learning chemistry a pleasant experience.
Thomas from Lynn, MA on 10/18/10
Marc definitely knows his math. There are some tutors/teachers who are very intimidating by nature, but Marc remains calm and explains things well. He does not make you nervous if you don't know what to do at first and need a problem explained. By the end of the session you feel confident about the topics discussed.
"Math and science for my 8th grade son"
Sulinha from Arlington, MA on 5/4/10
Marc was absolutely excellent! Patient, low key and was able to explain my son all the material he missed. My son understood well and I would definitely call him back.
Michael from Cambridge, MA on 12/2/09
Marc has been tutoring two of my children, a 13 year old and a sixteen year old, both males, and he has been doing a fantastic job. He is responsible and dependable. He is patient. He explains well. He adjusts his lessons so both of my sons look forward to the tutoring and value it highly. They both have very good grades in math, and for at least one of the boys, his grade is substantially better than it would have been without the tutoring. The other boy's grade is definitely improved as well.
