I am a Ph.D. student in math at the University of Pennsylvania and am currently on leave for the next year. As an undergraduate, I was a math major at UMass Boston and graduated with high honors.
From 2008 to 2012 I was a tutor in the academic support services office at UMass. I primarily tutored probability and statistics, single and multi variable calculus, and college algebra. I have also done a considerable amount of private tutoring in a variety of different areas of math.
I am qualified to tutor nearly all areas of high school and college math and can also assist with test preparation for the math section of standardized tests such as the SATs, ACTs, GREs, and GMATs.
I tremendously enjoy sharing my love of math with others and consistently seek to impart an integrated understanding of the material rather than simply helping students memorize formulas and procedures.
As a tutor I am patient and supportive and delight in seeing my students succeed. If it sounds to you like I can be helpful I hope you will consider giving me a chance. Thanks.
