Running out of time to get ready for an upcoming test? Having trouble scheduling between your student and a high quality teacher?
I specialize in SAT prep for students and families committed to improving their scores, but having trouble balancing the demands of preparation against all the other challenges of high school. My unique approach to test prep helps students raise their scores faster, eases the stress of scheduling and keeps my price low.
As student at MIT I helped develop a software program that customizes lesson plans to students as they work through the curriculum. The software and allows both students and I to see where they stand and make adjustments. It also lets me monitor progress so that I can intervene whenever a student needs help (or not, if the student is on track and doesn't need it). I conduct all of my meetings online, so that students and parents don't need to leave home. By eliminating travel and monitoring students remotely I'm able to help more students improve without having to charge prices that are restrictive to all but the wealthiest families.
My Approach:
My integrated approach focuses on developing specific skills geared toward the test as well as building the underlying skills that will help students in all their academic endeavors. I believe that the confidence that comes from knowing the material tested is as important as knowing the test.
Test prep is my exclusive source of income so you can count on my commitment to improving students' scores. I continue to develop educational technologies, so I work with many engineers and especially enjoy tutoring students with an interest in engineering or teaching.
Experience:
Professional teacher for 10 years with experience teaching students at MIT, Harvard, Duke, and Wellesley.

I have specific training in the field of standardized test prep that I received from a top US test prep firm.
Education:
Undergraduate: Duke
