I am an English and history teacher. I attended Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts for my Masters. I have taught in Brookline and overseas (Egypt and Turkey) twice. I have written a book that has been published (my second one is being edited). I love correct English and proper grammar. Correct use of the language enhances communication.
Boston is THE best place to live, learn & teach American History!
It is important to communicate properly. English is being used more and more worldwide. A good grasp of the language is a must. I love good grammar. I have taught English here, in Brookline, MA, and also overseas in Egypt and in Turkey. I would love to help you.
I joined Toastmasters in 1992. I am still an active member. Toastmasters is a worldwide public Speaking Organisation founded by Dr. Ralph Smedley in California in 1924. Women were allowed to join in 1973. It teaches you how you how to present, talk, organise your thoughts, interact with others, listen to others, and compete. It also teaches you to use your voice : emphasis, inflection, and many others. I have held many offices in Massachusetts and in Florida -- Sergeant at Arms, District Fundraiser, Public Relations, and an Area Governor. I joined just before I became a teacher and am sure glad that I did! I have mentored members and took part in the Youth Leadership (teaching youths in school). As a teacher, I do public speaking ALL day!
I have lived in other parts of the world. I have seen some of what we in the United States only read about in our history books.
