I am a former university professor with a PhD in Classics. I have taught both Latin and Ancient Greek at the college level and am certified in Massachusetts to teach Latin in secondary school. When I was learning Latin, I got a 5 on both Latin AP exams, 800 on the Latin SAT II and gold medals in the National Latin Exam. I am still an actively publishing scholar in Classical Studies.

I am also an experienced writing instructor. I have several years' experience as a 1-on-1 volunteer tutor, especially in ESL, English grammar, reading comprehension and writing. I am an enthusiastic and compassionate instructor, whose easy-going manner has made it easy to establish strong rapport with my students, especially when working on an individual basis. I always go the extra mile for my students, and try to teach them not only the subject matter but also better studying practices.
