I am an incoming graduate student who has been tutoring students for over five years. Next year, I will be attending Harvard University as a Physics Ph.D. student.
I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, with a GPA of 3.95. I received a Bachelor of Science in Physics with Highest Honors and Mathematics. I was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and won the Physics Faculty Prize for being the top graduating student in the physics department.
I have spent time as a teaching assistant in a physics laboratory class, in which I was primarily responsible for instructing a class of fifteen students during their experiment time.
I have tutored students of all levels, from advanced placement students to students with learning disabilities. I have taught all types of math and science, as well as SATs. I specialize in physics and math.
I have helped students study for tests, complete homework assignments, and prepare for standardized tests. As necessary, I create my own worksheets and assignments if I feel that the student needs it (or if the student requests it).
I am flexible with time, and can generally tutor according to your schedule.
I look forward to hearing from you!
I was a mathematics major at Brandeis University. I scored highly on my SAT in the math section, as well as on the SAT II for mathematics. While I have never taken the ACT myself, I have tutored for it in the past.
I was a mathematics major at Brandeis University. I completed four years of mathematics courses, including Multivariable Calculus, Advanced Calculus, Differential Equations, two semesters of Abstract Algebra, and Topology. All of my grades in these courses were in the A range.
I was a mathematics major at Brandeis University. I took AB and BC calculus in high school. In college, I took multivariable calculus and Advanced Calculus (a class about Fourier Series). I also use much calculus for my physics work.
I attended Maimonides School in Brookline, MA, where I studied Hebrew from 1st-12th grade. I maintained an A average in Hebrew classes, and scored well on the Hebrew standardized tests that my school offered. After high school, I spent one year in Israel, studying in Mevaseret Zion. I attended classes that were taught in Hebrew approximately 30 hours a week. I am proficient in Hebrew language reading, writing, and speaking.
I am currently attending a Physics Ph.D. program at Harvard University. Additionally, I was a Physics major at Brandeis University, graduating with highest honors. At Brandeis, I served as a Teaching Assistant for the freshman physics course. I have also done several years of lab work. I have taken Classical Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Statistical Mechanics, General Relativity, Quantum Mechanics, Astrophysics, and more.
