I have taught French to elementary school students grades one through five in a summer program and thoroughly enjoyed it. The world is such a small place that I feel it's important for everyone to speak another language. I've traveled to France, and speaking the language made all the difference in the experience.
Learning the language is wonderful, but it's also exciting to learn about the country and the culture. I've found my fluency in French has come in very handy in speaking with Canadians and Haitians as well as French tourists. I am a former substitute teacher, and enjoy working with children, but helping adults learn to be comfortable speaking the language is exciting, too. Learning French should be fun, not intimidating!
