After 25 years in the industry I have spent the last 12 years teaching high school math. I found this fun and rewarding, especially when a student says "I got it, that wasn't so hard".
For the last seven years I have taught upper level Math courses: Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Statistics and Probability, Calculus, Discrete Math. While teaching I kept up to date on the latest in teaching techniques by attending Focus on Math study groups, a state sponsored continuing math education group in conjunction with Boston University and Edutron.

Now that I'm retired I would love to continuing working with young adults and help them to Learn To Love Math.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 2

Algebra is a tool that you will be able to use throughout your life. Algebra 2 is a continuation of Algebra 1 and I will illustrate how algebra is used in the real world. We will cover linear relations, functions, inequalities, solving system of equations and inequalities, matrices, polynomials, and quadratic functions. We will use the graphing calculator in teaching all these subjects.
