I have been tutoring math at Bunker Hill Community College since 2007. I provide one-on-one tutoring and small group tutoring to students of all ages and background. I help students in many subjects, especially math and sciences including standardized test preparation. I sometime work as success coach, providing mentoring and advising. I have a Masters’ degree in Geographic Information Systems and a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a minor in Math. In 2009, I was awarded “the best tutor of the year” by the Bunker Hill Community College. I also teach a computer class (introduction to computer) at the same college.

I use several tutoring approaches and methods depending on the student's level of subject knowledge. For Math, I usually assess the student's level of grasp of the subject. According to the student’s level, I would ask the student to do the questions that are closer to his/her standard and gradually work to the more complex problems. It’s important that a student understand the basic concepts before attempting the more complex problems.
