I am a graduate of the University of Illinois, and am currently a graduate student at Harvard. I have always found great satisfaction in teaching and helping others. My greater objective here is to aid in the growth of a new generation scientists and to inspire young minds to pursue their hopes and dreams.
I have ample tutoring experience in the sciences, primarily tutoring high school and college students. I have experience with younger students (ages 5+), but this is primarily through teaching them martial arts. Nevertheless, I am open to any tutoring opportunity in this younger age group. I have tutored many students the last few years, particularly in biology, chemistry, physics and the MCAT.
My approach to tutoring is one of patience and careful thought. I always plan my lessons ahead of time and am always ready to answer any kind of question a student may have. My focus here isn't just to reach a correct answer, or to just teach students to memorize facts but to foster in students the desire to fully understand a concept and an idea. To do this, I nurture curiosity by framing the concepts in easy to understand, relatable framework.
