I have a Ph.D. in literature and many years of teaching experience in England and France with adults and children.
Before coming to Boston, I lived for five years in Paris where I perfected my French to native fluency. During this time, I taught English language, history and culture to individual students and to university classes at the Sorbonne. My work included helping to prepare students for the TOEIC and the TOEFL, translation into English and French, grammar tuition, literary studies and in-depth explorations of British history and culture.
While living in England I taught French language and translation at The University of Manchester and also tutored high-school students in English, French and History.
My approach to teaching is communicative and I aim to establish an immediate, friendly and direct engagement with my students. I believe that knowledge must develop in parallel with skill and understanding and I present my teaching in a context that my students will find challenging, relevant and enjoyable.
I measure my success as a teacher by the success of my students and I guarantee a personal investment in the development and success of one and all.
