I have practiced law for nearly two decades but in recent years realized that my greatest natural talents are in tutoring/teaching.
I have a multicultural and multilingual background in that I was born overseas, attended an international school where English was the primary language, and today can speak conversational Persian (Farsi) and some French as well. After moving to the U.S. at a young age, I spent my formative years in or near the Boston area: I completed high school at one of the most prestigious prep schools in the country, obtained my B.A. degree (psychology) from Boston College, and finally matriculated to a well-known law school from which I graduated with honors.
I am an avid reader and student of history who has a natural aptitude for literature, the humanities, math, science, and computer skills. I am also blessed with terrific people skills and an ability to make the subject matter "sing off the page” for my tutoring students.
I enjoy working with students at all levels and bring a collaborative style that promotes students’ engagement in the learning process, sparks their intellectual enthusiasm, and applies approaches well-suited to their particular learning style. I have mastery of a number of tutoring subjects, including but not limited to: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, History, English, Homework Help and Study Skills, Psychology, Political Science, Legal Studies, and a variety of standardized tests.
