Hi, My name is Tom. I live here in Boston and have taught Architecture, Interior Design, Historic Preservation, American History, clay sculptural arts and I also teach people with limited vision/blind techniques of daily living.

I studied Architecture at Vatican City and I was part of the task force for the A.I.A that developed Graphic Standards for the Americans with Disabilities Act.

I have often worked with students with A.D.H.D, memory/learning problems, teaching students with disabilities
is a challenge I enjoy.

Teaching students that do not have English to use as a competency language is not a problem.

ADD/ADHD

As a college professor I have adapted my courses to assist students with ADD/ADHD and developed specific curriculum for instruction based not on a flat standard, but on overall comprehension of my subjects.

Dyslexia

Many students of Architecture and Interior Design (art) have a degree of dyslexia, actually a 50/50 in architecture. I am left handed and I have dyslexia.

Dyslexia can be helped with "Talking Book" and individual tutoring to understand that the spaces between letters are just as important as the letters themselves. Quern-ing is a dyslexic specialty in teaching that I, myself, have been trained in.

Braille

I teach Grade 1 Braille in English and Moon, the British system used for newly blinded adults.
I also teach techniques in daily living, i.e. cooking, sewing, sports, shopping skills, and safety.

Architecture

I trained in Italy as an Architect and received my Laurea (laural wreath/degree) in art and architectural preservation.
