Ironically school was never my favorite place to be. Only after graduating school did I realize how much I loved learning and developing skills. I believe that all learning can happen when approached in a way unique to the student. If fun is not had, nothing can be learned. Similarly if you are not serious, nothing can be learned. A balance between passion, fun, and urgency is what it takes to achieve great learning. I have been tutoring at a Charter School in Boston since August and have developed teaching philosophies that differentiate between lessons, subjects, and activities. Variety of lesson is important, but consistency of information is just as important.
