Hi, Parents and Students,
I have been tutoring students since 2003 starting in Taiwan where I was the lead tutor for Taipei American School. I had a good relationship with the superintendent there and he referred me to students who needed the biggest boost in their grades. I tutored math and sciences there from beginner level to advanced AP and IB courses. I have also tutored Chinese to students and adults in Taiwan. I left Taiwan in 2006 and have been tutoring students in Hawaii since. I recently moved to Boston in 2011 and am glad to see there is a strong academic focus in the city and a belief that tutoring can improve a student's academic performance.
In terms of my credentials, I am a full-time engineer helping people save money on energy and water. San Francisco Housing and Boston Housing Authority are my clients. I tutor at night or on the weekends.
I got a 5 (highest possible score) on AP chemistry, and calculus in high school. I graduated from Obama's High School in Hawaii, Punahou, in the top 10% of my class. Most of my classmates in the top 10% attended the top 10% of colleges in the US such as Ivy Leagues, MIT, CalTech, Stanford, etc. I attended Northwestern and majored in Engineering. Any science course is not difficult for me such as chemistry, organic, biology, biochemistry, or thermodynamics). Any math courses are fine as well. I can also teach Mandarin Chinese with no problem. Do you need help with Chinese characters? I developed a method to assist people around the world with being able to read and write Chinese characters. I also have my MBA from National Taiwan University, and thus can assist you in the GMAT. My SAT scores were 90% or higher in 1998, and the MCAT isn't a problem either since I am studying for them now. Please let me know how I can help you.
