I am an educator with several years of experience teaching subjects such as mathematics, physics, and astronomy in higher education. With a Masters of Education in Educational Media and Technology from Boston University, I incorporate educational multimedia into tutoring sessions to help students visualize some of the complex ideas that can come up in these fields.

I am a great choice as a math tutor because of my extensive experience teaching and tutoring mathematics. I work as an Adjunct Professor in the Mathematics Department at Bunker Hill Community College. I have taught everything from fraction addition (Prealgebra) to College Algebra for students going into STEM majors. While working at Pearson Education, I had the opportunity to tutor students from Prealgebra to Calculus II. Most of these students were using Pearson products such as MyMathLab. This experience gave me a great opportunity to hone my skills at tutoring students over via telephone or email.

I have a Master of Science in Physics, and would also be a great choice as a physics or physical science tutor. Recently, I have taught algebra-based physics (mechanics) at an institute of technology. I have taught introductory calculus-based physics (both mechanics and electromagnetism), introductory algebra-based physics (both mechanics and electromagnetism), and astronomy courses at the college level. I have also tutored students one-on-one in these subjects. I will help your student develop the problem-solving strategies and critical thinking skills needed to do well.
