I am a licensed Certified Public Accountant and proud graduate of the Boston University School of Management with a degree in Business Administration (emphasis in Accounting) with honors. I have professional experience in both the public accounting sector and private industry sector. Currently, I am a member of the finance team for a high-growth, late-stage technology start up in Boston. However, I am available on the weekends to tutor, as well as some week nights upon request.
My undergraduate business coursework included studies in a variety of areas, including: General Management, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Organizational Behavior, Financial Analysis, Information Systems, Operations Management, Business Law, Taxation, Strategy, Auditing, Accounting Research, Non-profit & Governmental Accounting, and more.
Additional (non-business) courses included: Economics (Macro & Micro), Psychology (Physiological and Personality), Intermediate Spanish Language, Basic French Language, Business Law, Ethics, Quantitative Reasoning, Chinese Anthropology, Hospitality Management, etc.
I have had extensive experience in tutoring. During the summers while studying in college, I tutored elementary and high school students in Spanish I and II levels, as well as elementary school students in mathematics, reading, and study skills. I have met with high school seniors to give them advice and help them research potential colleges. I also have met with peers throughout college to provide career advice and resumé writing skills.
While at Boston University, I was a Teaching Assistant for a 6-credit "Management as a System" intensive course which met nine hours a week. This position always required me to hold a lab once a week with about 30 students, as well as hold weekly office hours and review sessions. I also took a few freelance tutoring jobs on the side to tutor my peers in business and accounting courses.
I am very patient when teaching students, know how to simplify concepts to work from the ground up, and can explain things in a variety of methods as different students learn in many different ways. I have worked with clients of all ages, from 3 years old to working mothers, and am very adaptable to any situation.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
I have taken over 30 college credits in accounting and will be working at one of the world's leading public accounting firms in the fall as an external auditor.

I can tutor many topics in business administration and management, including but not limited to: introduction to management, macroeconomics, organizational behavior, financial accounting, business law & environment, strategy & policy, finance, marketing, corporate social responsibility, and operations.
I have had over 78 credit hours of business related courses.
Geared towards college students!
Although just a recent college graduate myself, I feel like I have what it takes to coach you in your career aspirations, whether it be looking for that first job or making a career change.
I have been through countless interviews for many different positions in a variety of fields and have extensive experience writing cover letters and resumes.
I have coached younger students, peers, and family members and now represent my company during recruitment season back at my alma mater.
The services, advice, and coaching I offer are geared towards those who are still in college, about to graduate, or have recently graduated. The area I most like to focus on is that initial jump start to your career!
Whether it be through simple resume editing or even providing you with a mock interview for practice, I can help!
Career counseling is available for a lower hourly rate than I charge for my other subject areas, as I like to take more of an informal/peer approach to this subject area.
Studying can be overwhelming. As a recent college graduate, I definitely know how you feel. I have learned the best way to approach any major task is through time management and careful planning. I also know the importance of taking short breaks and rewarding yourself with each completed task.
I have worked as a Teaching Assistant at Boston University where I had to hold weekly labs, office hours, and review sessions for about 30 students in my section. I have worked with a variety of different personalities to come up with the best method of study for each person. Flashcards, games, mini quizzes... you name it!
Study skills don't develop overnight--they are something that needs to be consistently applied and made a habit.
I would be more than happy to meet with you or your child to develop better study skills and come up up with a plan to institute that can be applied in the long-term future.
