I am a former teaching assistant at American University for undergraduate American History courses. I offer tutoring in American History, Social Studies, American Government, and writing skills.

Further, I returned to school to pursue my passion for music at the New England Conservatory. I completed my master's degree in performance in May 2012 with a concentration in pedagogy and music-in-education. I have experience teaching voice to students of all ages. I love teaching American History! It was my major at the University of Virginia and I am still an avid reader of nonfiction related to American history.

I love reading and offer tutoring in everything from beginning reading skills to advanced comprehension and study skills.

The ability to communicate effectively through writing is an invaluable skill in both academic and professional contexts.

I believe writing is a crucial part of the learning process because it teaches students to clarify ideas and think in logical progression. I have professional experience as a writer and researcher as well as an academic background in writing-intensive subjects such as history and American government.

I have a master's degree in public policy and have taken advanced statistics and economics courses (and received As in all classes). I like working with statistics and I can help you with understanding concepts.
