Hi! My name is Jaime and I graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a Bachelors degree in Communication as well as a minor in Spanish. I really enjoy the Spanish Language, and would love to help teach you or your son or daughter more, and improve their Spanish language skills! This past summer I traveled to Spain for a month, where I worked for a teen travel company on a Spanish Language program. This specific program gave children going into 10th-12th grade the opportunity to learn Spanish at a variety of school locations through the Enforex Language School, as well as travel the country and explore all there is to see in Spain. As a tour leader, I assisted children in the classroom, as well as outside, in communicating to their teachers, in restaurants, stores, and hotels to the Spanish people there. For children that wanted extra assistance, we had group gatherings in restaurants and had mini lessons about various topics that they were learning in school. This included everything ranging from simple verb conjugating, to learning how to ask the cost of a t shirt, and reviewing important vocabulary that would be useful in certain situations that they would run into while in Spain. I created conjugation charts and vocab lists and we reviewed these on a daily basis for the kids to gain a better understanding of this information. Besides my work in Spain, I have also tutored kids with their Spanish homework, studying for tests, and reviewing anything else they need Spanish assistance with.
