My name is Philip - and I am currently a first-year student at Harvard Business School. I previously graduated from Memphis University School in 2003 and went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on a full academic scholarship and graduated in 2007 with a double major in Political Science & Economics. I am willing to help students in Math (elementary, middle school and high school), computers / Microsoft Office, English / writing, and College Prep (SAT/ACT/PSAT).

I have tutored ever since I was in high school and enjoy helping students do better in school and reach their true potential. I have even helped my little brother and sister when they were in school. I am a fun-loving, no-nonsense and passionate guy dedicated to helping you with your troublesome spots so you can do well in class and reach your academic goals.

In addition, I can help your student regarding college preparation - applications, essays, and interviews. When I was in high school, I applied to a number of colleges and universities, including Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, UCLA, Brown, Yale, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I got accepted to all of them and chose the University of North Carolina after being offered a full academic scholarship. My desire is to help your student experience similar success in the college admissions process as well.

ACT English

English was one of my favorite and highest scoring sections when I took the ACT in high school.

Algebra 1

I took Algebra 1 in the 8th grade at Lausanne, and it was one of my favorite classes that year. I obtained a high A average throughout that school year. I would love to help other students improve their grades and understanding in Algebra 1.

SAT Math

When I took the SAT Math section, my best score was a 740. When coupled with my best SAT Verbal section score of 660, it gave me a combined 1400.

Prompt and Patient! Philip worked with my son for the first time tonight and developed a good repore quickly. He has my son fired up for learning and eager for his next lesson. We look forward to more sessions with Philip. He was prompt, patient and kind. He explained the material so Logan fully understood. It's nice to see my teenage boy fired up to learn! ...
