I have met and collaborated with many young children and their parents, knowing firsthand their demands, needs and standards, which have more often than not been quite high. As a consequence, I learned to be adaptive and adjust to every single case, which I treat as unique, being able to cope with the behavior of kids and to face efficiently potential problems that may come up. In addition, I believe I can adjust to the needs and demands of each student individually and at the same time avoid neglecting the needs of the class as a whole.
My teaching methods include the use of digital facilities, such as the Internet, music, films and videos, to name but a few. Technology plays an important role as the picture and the sound draw most students’ attention, especially in the case of young kids. Moreover, almost from the very beginning, I promote the constant use of Spanish as a means of instruction, which familiarizes students with the language more and gives them confidence to express themselves.
