I recently graduated from FSU Law with the Certificate in International Law. I tutored Latin throughout the past two years while also working as a research assistant to a professor. My undergraduate degree is from Boston University where I majored in Ancient Greek and Latin. While attending Boston University, I worked as a writing tutor for the Core Curriculum Writing Program, and I also worked a languages tutor for the introductory levels of Ancient Greek and Latin. Since graduating FSU Law in May, I have taken the NY Bar Exam and am preparing to take the MA Bar Exam in February. While awaiting my bar exam results, I am currently working as an Associate Editor for Pusteblume Books, an imprint of Pen and Anvil Press, a not-for-profit publishing company. Additionally, I am a Writing Tutor for Boston University's CAS Core Curriculum Program.
As a Latin student and tutor, I have worked with most of the major textbooks currently available. I have used Wheelock's Latin, Latin via Ovid and and Ecce Romani. I personally use Lingua Latin by Hans Oerberg.
I am currently preparing to take the DELF French exam, which would provide me with official certification from the French Ministry of Education as a fluent French speaker. I have studied French since I was in middle school and I have lived in France on and off throughout the past years.
I believe in a personalized style of tutoring - each student learns differently and each subject needs a different approach. I can also tutor or offer help for personal statements for admission applications to both college and law school.
