I am a native Bostonian, and I have been teaching foreign languages to students since 1997. In the process, I found that I was helping students learn English grammar. I have taught on the college level (St. John's Seminary College, Brighton, MA; Wheaton College, Norton, MA; and Emmanuel College, Boston, MA) as well as on the elementary, middle school and high school levels.
Born in Boston, MA, I am a native English speaker. As a foreign language professor (Italian and Spanish) since 1997, I have been helping native and non-native English-speaking students appreciate and learn the foundation of English grammar. Once students understand the building blocks of English, they are better prepared to learn how other languages work.
Since 1997, I have been helping students with their English grammar through foreign language studies. For many students, learning another language has helped them learn English. I have taught students of all ages and at all levels (I taught in middle/high school in Millis, MA as well as at Wheaton College, Norton and Emmanuel College in Boston). Whether you're in second grade or in second year of graduate studies, I have been able to give students more confidence with their ability to use English properly.
I completed my higher education in two Italian universities over the course of eight years in Rome, Italy. I am presently teaching at Boston College High School (Arrupe division) in Boston, MA. I started teaching Italian studies beginning in 1997 at two other colleges in the Boston area (Emmanuel College, Boston, MA, Wheaton College, Norton, MA and St. John Seminary College, Brighton, MA). I have also taught Italian conversation courses to adults in adult education courses in Medway, MA and in Franklin, MA. I have taught primary school children in after school programs too!
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 1983 from St. John's Seminary College in Brighton, MA. Since then, I continued my philosophical studies while working on my Doctorate in Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. I received the degree in 1997.
I studied with Myrna Rybczyk of Millis before entering the New England Conservatory Preparatory Division in Boston. I studied with Dr. Edwin Hymovitz at the conservatory for four years. I studied Piano Performance with Dr. Olga Stone at Boston College, Newton. I studied privately for the past 28 years with Maestro Carlo Dominici of Rome. I am presently enrolled in the New England Conservatory Professional Studies Certificate program as of the spring semester of 2013 and studying piano performance with Sergey Schepkin.
I have been engaged in public speaking for over 25 years. I have also taught the subject for 7 years on the college level.

I have been speaking Spanish for over thirty years. Since 1997, I have taught Spanish on the college, high school and middle school levels. I have also taught Spanish conversation courses in adult education programs as well as in after-school programs for primary school children.
Many students find it difficult to organize themselves when it comes to studying a number of subjects. Having gone through my doctoral studies, I know from personal experience that, once an organized plan is created, the task of studying no longer becomes overwhelming. (Along with having received my doctorate from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy, I started my academic career with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy at St. John's Seminary College in Brighton, MA. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from the Gregorian University and studied at the Pontifical Athenaeum St. Anselm in Rome, Italy, where I received a Licentiate in Theology.) It requires a sincere commitment and a healthy sense of discipline. Also, it is important to affirm accumulative work that has been accomplished by the student(for example, when learning a foreign language) in order for the student to remain confident in learning future material without frustration and to remain open to finishing the study at hand without getting too complacent. This has been my experience both as a student and as a teacher. (Since 1997, I have been a college professor at St. John's Seminary in Brighton, MA, Wheaton College in Norton, MA, and at Emmanuel College in Boston, MA. I also do private tutoring.)
I have been a language teacher since 1997, and that has given me the opportunity to explore the world of words. Whether teaching primary grades or on the college level, using and spelling vocabulary properly is vitally important in order to communicate well. Over my academic career (a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy as well as a Bachelor of Arts, a Licentiate and a Doctorate in Theology) and teaching experience (St. John's Seminary, Brighton, MA; the Athanaeum St. Anselm in Rome, Italy and the Gregorian University of Rome), I have been made sensitive to the power of words and I wish to hand that knowledge onto my students.
