I am currently a 2nd year MD/MBA Candidate at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School.

I graduated in June 2011 from the University of Washington with a degree in Bioengineering and a degree in Biochemistry. While at the UW I was also an undergraduate researcher and teaching assistant with the Department of Bioengineering focusing on developing point-of-care devices for HIV diagnostics. As you might have guessed, I am quite passionate about the sciences, which is why I am seeking to tutor in the field.

I hope that my passion in teaching science can help motivate students learn what can at times seem dull. As a pre-medicine student at the UW, I took classes in Biology, Organic Chemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Molecular Medicine, Physiology, and other applied sciences and the liberal arts. I have further delved into these sciences during my first two years of medical school. I look forward to working with you as we navigate through the fascinating world of science!

Thank you for considering me for your tutoring and advising needs.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

MCAT

I took the MCAT in May 2012 and scored in the 95th percentile. I studied on my own and am excited to teach my strategy to anyone interested in doing well on such an important test. I know that each student learns in their own way and I will work hard to tailor-make a study plan for you to reach your MCAT goals!
