Experienced chemistry teacher, Ph.D., patient chemistry tutor

My name is Julie and I love chemistry. My goal is to help you through this challenging subject. You may even find that chemistry is in your future after having success in your current course. As a high school teacher with 17 years of experience I have worked with students of every skill level, recognize areas more challenging to students, and have had success helping young people become chemistry literate.

Chemistry tutoring help is possible for: daily homework assignments, review of topics that are challenging to you, developing the math skills needed for chemistry, final exam preparation, and SAT II and AP Chemistry test preparation. I will tailor the tutoring sessions to your specific needs. This will include helping you get more out of your daily chemistry classes.

Physical Science

Physics Science deals primarily with areas of chemistry, physics, and earth science. This is my specialty since my Ph.D. is in chemistry and I have been teaching chemistry and physics at Deerfield Academy for the past 17 years.

Elementary Science

I have been a high school teacher for chemistry and physics for the past 18 years. This experience and observations of the successes and difficulties of my students has prepared me to help young people with this challenging subject. With a little help on the concepts, some work on note-taking, and individual attention, success is assured.

Study Skills

As a chemistry and physics teacher for 18 years, I have worked with students who have excelled and those who have struggled in their academics.
