Hello,

My name is Bernie and I am currently an Ed.D. student at Boston University; I just finished my M.Ed. in the Spring of 2010. I have been a high school mathematics and chemistry teacher for 3 years, and I want to return to the classroom after finishing my Ed.D.

I have taught all levels of high school and middle school mathematics, and I have taught college-level chemistry; my undergraduate degree is from the University of Houston and it is in Chemistry and Mathematics.

I'm pretty straight forward, and I believe in the "I show, you watch; I do - you do; You do, I watch" theory of education - we will practice until I know you know how to do it.

Algebra is really about formalizing mathematics into a coherent way of reading & writing it so it can be used to solve problems.
