I was an English major in college, so I have a love of reading and writing. I have written several newspaper and magazine articles, as well as proofreading our elementary school's yearbook for two years.

I am currently working for the Greenfield Public Schools as a librarian/literacy teacher and virtual school teacher. I have earned my teaching certification in the state of Massachusetts and taught third grade for six years. Prior to that, I worked as a teacher's aide and a substitute teacher. I have also worked as a summer tutor and as a writing teacher for Greenfield Middle School 's after school program.

I have completed my Master's in Education with a Reading Licensure. I also plan to take the MTEL English test this summer.

I have been described by supervisors as a creative, organized teacher who genuinely cares about each child and his or her success. I love to be able to take the time to work one on one with students, which I believe is the optimal condition for learning.
