I have been teaching music for over 20 years, both privately and to groups. My love for music is an extension of my love of life. I believe all students, of any age, can achieve whatever they set their minds to ... the sky is the limit. Learning an instrument is a vehicle to build self esteem and self confidence while gaining an expressive art form to fulfill your life.
My serious study of music began at the Manhattan School of Music, preparatory division, in New York City. Having the opportunity to learn and create music amongst the most talented music students in our country was a true gift and one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. My undergraduate music studies were completed at Mount Holyoke College and my MFA was obtained at New York University at Tisch School for the Arts.
Over the years, my students have gained a true love for music and their abilities have led them to such schools as Juilliard School of Music and Manhattan School of Music in New York City, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
