I graduated from Yale in May 2012 with a degree in psychology/neuroscience. While there, I spent two years working as a French tutor, helping other Yale students at all levels of proficiency improve their reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension. Since then, I've continued teaching and tutoring, helping high school students prepare for all sections of the SAT I in both one-on-one and classroom sessions. I'm eager to apply my experience as a tutor and my knowledge of a wide variety of subjects to helping students learn and improve their skills, no matter what their age or level of study!
I'm passionate about teaching and enthusiastic about the subjects that I teach. I love seeing things click for my students when they understand something, and I enjoy planning individualized lessons to help make that happen. I'm serious about teaching, but I know that students learn best when they are relaxed and having fun with the material. As a result, my teaching style is as laid-back and conversational as it is rigorous. When it comes to planning our sessions, I'm very flexible - to me, the most important thing is to customize the program of study to what the student needs.
