Are you an international college student looking for a native English speaker to edit, review, and assist you with your writing at an advanced collegiate level? Then look no further! My name is Nadia and I work as a Higher Education Specialist in one of the most dynamic and diverse cities for education in America. I have a Master's degree in education and two BS in sociology and pre law and work as a student affairs professional during the day and tutor at a local college during nights and weekends. I have direct experience working with all sorts of college students including but not limited to international, learning disabled, athletes, first generation college students, and more. I assist students with time management, test preparation, study skill development, content instruction, researching, writing and outlining papers and essays and more.
Typical first session includes assessing where the client is in the coursework in terms of late assignments, assignments still yet to do, and tests to prepare for. It helps if the client brings all assignment information and the syllabus/course outline with them. Together we will determine what has challenged the client in the past, how I can best assist the client, what the client hopes to achieve from our work together, and a tutoring schedule.
Clients should expect to be on time, mentally present, and committed to the success of our work together. I will do the same. I have been tutoring college students since 2002 as a peer tutor in undergraduate college, as well as a graduate student and now a full time working professional in higher education.
Thank you and look forward to hearing from you soon!
