Hello,

I am currently an ESL teacher in Boston Public Schools (high school) and at the YMCA International Learning Center. In 2012 I graduated from Boston University's School of Education with a master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language.

In addition to teaching, I have extensive experience tutoring high school, college, and adult students of various proficiency levels in English, French, and ESL. I've found holding dialogues, having writing conferences, role-playing activities, and integrating the five modalities of language (reading, writing, speaking, listening, and cultural knowledge) to be very effective methods of teaching and tutoring.

I love living in Boston, creative writing, running, and cooking.

I studied French throughout college, where I wrote my undergraduate thesis on contemporary poetry written in French, and I lived in Paris briefly.

I have my undergraduate degree in creative writing and continue to write news articles, essays, and book reviews as a freelancer. In terms of academic writing, I do some of my own and have helped many a high school student improve his/her writing as a tutor and teacher.

I majored in Creative Writing and Literary Translation in college. My coursework included contemporary American poetry, British literature, and literature in translation. I'm also an AP Lit grad of a few years ago.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
