I am a 4th grade teacher who holds dual certifications in elementary education and English as a Second Language. I hold a bachelor of science in elementary education from Boston University (2004), and a master’s of arts in applied linguistics from the University of Massachusetts – Boston (2011). In addition to teaching all curriculum areas to fourth graders of diverse linguistic, social, cultural, and geographic backgrounds, I also tutor K - 6 students in reading, writing, math, and Spanish to all ages.
My goal for the children I teach and tutor is to give them the confidence and enthusiasm to achieve their academic and social goals. I enjoy working with students and their families to articulate their needs and prescribe a fun yet rigorous plan that will help students grow.
I look forward to working with you! I tutor students in Framingham near the school where I teach and the McAullife branch library (during the school year), at the Wellesley and Newton Public libraries, at the Honan-Allston public library, and the Coolidge Corner branch library in Brookline.
