I am glad that you are looking at my profile. First I will tell you a little about my self. I am thirty one years old and have two children. My son is twelve and my daughter is four. I graduated from Ruston High School in 1998, I did not go to college right out of high school, but did eventually attend Louisiana Tech University and graduated with my bachelors degree in Psychology. I then decided that I would love to work in the education field so I attended Ashford University online while homeschooling my children, and received my Masters Degree in Education.
My philosophy to teaching is that all children can learn. Children have a need to learn new things from the time they are born. When a baby is watching their mother or father and imitating the things that the parent is doing, the child is learning. I believe that all children can learn each subject and can thrive in each subject. Some subjects may be a little harder in the beginning for a student, but with the proper help and understanding then the student can learn and understand why that subject is important.
As children get older the child may chose that they want to give up on a subject that has not come to them naturally. That is where I come in and assist your student with showing them how the subject works and why this subject is important to their life. All children are knowledgeable in all subjects and deserve to do the best that they can, no matter what they have to do to achieve their dream.
