If students would continue to come in for tutoring over the summer months, it would help them greatly. Unfortunately, what I have experienced is that many students (and their families) find other things more important to do and consider tutoring to be something done only during the school year. This is too bad, especially in light of the fact that students today need a lot of extra help in many ways, and they could obtain that help over the summer months when a tutor is a bit more free to focus on topics other than "today's homework."
