More about me
As a native of Honduras, Central America, I grew up speaking Spanish and I became fluent in English after I started teaching music in bilingual schools in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. I transferred as a student from the Catholic University of Honduras to Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 2009, majoring in Psychology under a scholarship program through the Creative and Performing Arts, receiving my Bachelor in Science of Psychology degree in May, 2012.
I've had the opportunity to work with multicultural children as a private piano instructor and also as a music teacher in my country. I hold an English as a Second Language certification from Escuela Internacional Sampedrana, an International School in the city where I was born. I have teaching experience in bilingual schools in elementary, middle school, and high school. I have training in childhood psychology, adolescent psychology, and music pedagogy.
