Hello, my name is Laura! I am employed with the Girl Scouts so I have had lots of time working with kids in a variety of areas and have learned many different skills to keep students interested in the topics we cover. I graduated from ULM with a Bachelor's Degree in English as well as minors in French and Spanish. While languages, reading, writing, and grammar are my areas of strength, I have knowledge in a wide variety of areas.

During my high school years, I began gaining experience in tutoring as I had three students under my wing, one second grader (math, English, reading) and two ninth graders (English, ACT prep). I also worked with a math teacher during my senior year to aide in teaching a blind student Algebra. Needless to say, it truly opened my mind to considering different ways to approach a problem and reach a solution, so that I can more fully help your child reach their educational goals, as well.

I have tutored many elementary students in the past. Throughout high school I tutored three students in reading, math, spelling, and language arts. How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
