I currently teach college English at Southeastern Louisiana University. I teach four different sections of English - 101 (Freshman Composition), 102 (further Freshman Composition), 231 (British Literature) and 315 (Special Topics - Harry Potter). I have been teaching at Southeastern for the past five years, and I also teach for Upward Bound, which is a summer school program for underprivileged high school students. In 101 and 102, I teach students how to write or improve their writing by focusing on grammar, content, development, and MLA citation. In 231, I teach a survey of British Literature that includes Beowulf, Shakespeare, Tennyson, Yeats, and Tolkein.
