I've had experience working with students throughout my undergraduate career where I worked as a research assistant, teaching laboratory classes, and also at a math resource center where I worked one-on-one with students helping them with math problems. I currently have three publications in the math/physics field and have been employed by the National Superconducting Laboratory (NSCL) before being employed here in Louisiana as an officer at Barksdale AFB working on Nuclear Deterrence issues. My undergraduate degree is in physics and my graduate degree is in Nuclear Engineering. My graduate research covered a wide range of fields including: electronics, chemistry, physics and nuclear technology and is titled "Neutron Spectroscopy using LiF Semiconducting Thin-Film Perforated Diodes".

I love tutoring because it keeps me "on my toes" and helps me to stay engaged in the math/science field while helping to shape the future. I will be prepared for each tutoring session, always looking over the material before we meet.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

AFOQT

I have taken the AFOQT and scored in the 90s on each subject area of the AFOQT. The test determines that the member is qualified to be an officer in the U.S. Military. In addition, the test has components testing an applicant's knowledge of piloting and navigational skills. I am currently employed as an officer in the U.S Air Force and I have an instrument pilot's license.

MATLAB

I've got over 3 years of extensive use in MATLAB. I've written over 100k lines of code and compiled over 100 simulations for my graduate research. I also have experience in Simulink, which is a visual interface for MATLAB and shares a lot of the same infrastructure.
