Hi! My name is Eric. I received my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Emory University and am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Philosophy at LSU. I began tutoring in high school (mostly junior high students at the time). I have now tutored students of all levels up to college seniors.
My specialties are math and chemistry. I have tutored everything from pre-algebra to trigonometry to calculus 2 and from intro chemistry to organic chemistry. I have taught it all and am experienced in presenting the information in different ways to fit the different learning styles of each student.
I also very much enjoy helping students with writing. Writing has become an interest of mine more and more, and as I am beginning graduate work in philosophy, it is currently my greatest passion. As a student who did not immediately take to writing when I was younger, I have had to work hard at it, and I find that this allows me to better relate to students who don't immediately take to writing. I now have a full year of experience helping college students write through my duties as a teaching assistant in the Philosophy department.
I prepare an individual plan for every student before each lesson allowing them to learn in the way that is easiest for them. Having prepared lessons for numerous students I am able to accommodate multiple learning styles to engage every student. I'm eager to share my love of learning with anyone else who wants to learn. I hope to hear from you soon.
