I am an experienced instructor and substitute teacher. I have earned a BS, MBA, and completed coursework in a PhD program. My BS and MBA degrees are from Auburn University in Auburn, AL. I completed coursework for a PhD at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. My MBA and PhD coursework concentrated on business classes and content. I have an understanding of subjects that pertain to these degrees including: business, economics, statistics, finance, accounting, and public speaking. I am also competent in writing, English, proof reading, and history.
In addition to traditional courses and coursework, I am also adept in helping clients prepare for taking standardized tests. I have completed several of these tests in the past, for my own education, and am familiar with the formats. I have also helped a plethora of others study and review for standardized tests including: GED, ACT, GRE, GMAT, and PRAXIS I & II.
To facilitate a productive learning environment I encourage the student to e-mail me in advance any specific instructions or questions pertaining to the tutored subject or any special needs he or she might have. This way, I can be prepared ahead of time of any particular areas that need extra attention. I also feel It is important to recognize that people learn in many different ways. I am cognizant of this fact and will utilize several ways to stimulate and educate the student including: real life examples, flash cards, thorough explanation, quizzes, etc.
