My name is Joyce. I earned a degree in Early Childhood education from Northwestern I am a Louisiana certified teacher in kindergarten and nursery school. I have 7 years experience teaching kindergarten and 6 years teaching preschool.
I have training in phonics as well as in project read. I have been trained in critical thinking maps to organize material to improve retention. My greatest asset is my technology skills. I have not only been trained in using different software, I have utilized this training in my classroom.
It is my goal as an early childhood educator to build a solid foundation for a child to build an education. It is my strong belief that this goal can be reached in many different ways. What is important to remember is that the instruction correspond to the learning style of the student. This will make learning more interesting which always lead to success.
My skills, my training, and my experience can never exceed my love for children and the desire to see my students succeed. Their success is dependent on me. If they do not succeed, then I have failed them as a teacher.
