My name is Sarah Smith and teaching is my passion. I graduated in Spring 2012 with my Associates in Applied Science. I am now currently a junior at the University of Louisville where I am studying Special Education. I will graduate with my bachelors in Spring of 2014. I will then be certified to teach K-12.
I have worked with children for many years. I help with religious education for about 4 years and worked at a daycare for 8 months. I have some experience working with special needs particularly Autism, AD/HD, Asperger's, Bipolar and Schizophrenia. I would love more experience working with any children of any age group. During school semesters I have to work with children for at least two days out of the week.
I enjoy reading and writing and have more of a "hands-on" approach when it comes to teaching any subject. I love using manipulatives and technology when appropriate. I also use worksheets and any other beneficial resources. I can adjust my teaching style to any students learning style.
Last but not least, I am a very caring and patient teacher and look forward to hearing from you!
