For 25 years I supervised accounting offices in the non-profit sector. This included payables, receivables, general ledger, and financial statement reporting. I have made numerous presentations to boards, funding agencies and guests.
In 1994 I desired to have a more creative outlet, and began professional storytelling with a storytelling guild. Since then, I have performed at numerous schools, conventions, parties, and gatherings of all ages throughout the country. I am presently publishing 2 children's books and have a small crafting business at my home.
All of this leads to a very diverse approach to life and teaching. I am not always conventional, but seek to find the enjoyment in all learning. I teach how applications relate to the "real world" rather than teaching abstract concepts.
I have not been a professional teacher, but have guest lectured at several colleges on accounting, early childhood literature, mythology, and public speaking. In addition, I have presented several workshops of my own design at conferences for teachers and counselors as well as for different groups.
I will be honest and tell you that I have not tutored before. I do believe that I have the knowledge base, the experience and the desire to help others if given the opportunity.
