Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I have not actively taught this subject in several years, but in teaching algebra 2 and geometry I obviously am able to see what skills the students need to bring with them to this new area of math.

Algebra 2

Now that Algebra 2 is required for all Kentucky High school graduates, it is imperative that your child succeed in this area. I am here to help!

Geometry

This is my absolute favorite area in mathematics. I love geometry. I love triangles and quadrilaterals, finding areas and volumes. I just love it!

Prealgebra

These are the basic skills that students need before proceeding into algebra and geometry.

Precalculus

A continuation of Algebra 2 and a precursor to more advanced classes like Calculus, this class is not for the faint of heart.

In my classroom, we use the stack and subtract method.    (2 , 7) -(-1, 3)  (3 , 4)   Then take the second number over the first since slope is rise over run.   4 3   The Correct answer is C.
