Hi, my name is Lisa. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration-Management and have 20 years experience in the business workplace specializing in Accounting or Office Management. I have always excelled in Business, Math and English related subjects and tutoring on these subjects comes easy to me. My tutoring method consists of getting to know the students exact needs in the first session and then progressing from there as the student feels comfortable. I am very personable, patient, and explain things in detail and my organization method of tutoring is to teach the most in the least time as to manage my time and the student's time in an orderly manner. Most kids and adults find me easy to talk to and non-intimidating.

Algebra 1

I have been actively working with Math my whole life since my career is in Accounting. My sister is a retired Math teacher so she was able to tutor me in all of my math related subjects in College giving me a thorough understanding of math from elementary on into College subjects.

Prealgebra

Elementary (K-6th)

I am very patient with children and have always gotten along with those of this age group especially. I have 3 step children and 5 grandchildren that I have enjoyed tutoring and helping along in their educational process.

I also served as a substitute aide for the Jefferson County Public School system temporarily and I absolutely loved it. This age of learning is both crucial and entertaining.

General Computer

I have had 25 years experience working on computers in a business office setting. I was required to take basic and business related computer classes in college in order to achieve my Bachelors Degree. I have ample knowledge of using the internet, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, as well as many accounting software programs.

Poker

I have been playing poker socially for over 20 years. I am aware of the rules of just about any type of poker game there is including Texas Hold'em.

Business

I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and have had over 20 years experience working in different types of business environments.

QuickBooks

I have been working in the accounting industry for 25 years and have over 10 years experience with Quickbooks. I find it user-friendly and easy to understand, therefore easy to explain.

Microsoft Outlook

I have had experience using Outlook in many different office settings over the past 10 years. I use it daily in my current job and find it necessary to understand all of the options and extras it has available in the software.
