Although my undergrad degree is in journalism, I have extensive knowledge and experience with computers, web development and design. I always make sure things are well understood before moving on by using analogies that the student can easily understand. I'm easy-going, laid-back, and have plenty of patience.
My experience with computers spans 28 years. I was in electronics school in 1984 when I first began learning about and using computers. I got my first one in 1986 and soon after had to replace the hard drive. That was my first experience with computer repair.
Over the years I've built many computer systems for friends and family and was also their tech support. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot over the years.
In 1993 I built my first website. In 1995 I purchased my first domain name and built a family website. I then built sites for friends and myself for the next 14 years before finally gaining enough confidence to be a professional web designer and developer. I now own my own web design and development company.
I absolutely love working on websites. For me it's a lot of fun, so it never feels like a job.
