Bill's Answer:

-5x > 15

-5x/-5 < 15/-5    (divide both sides by -5, this changes the inequality to >)

x < -3

The graph will be a vertical dotted line (because of the < ) at x = -3.  Shading will be to the left of the line.

Bill's Answer:

Volume = 1/3*pi*r^2*h

Volume = 1/3(3.14)(6)^2(8) = 1/3(3.14)(36)(8) = 301.44 inches cubed.

Bill's Answer:

a=1/2h(b+B)

2a=h(b+B)        multiply both sides by 2

2a/h=b+B         divide both sides by h

b=2a/h-B          subtract B from both sides

im doing homework and im super confused?!

+ more- less
Asked by Viviana from Renton, WA

Bill's Answer:

-5/4 - 2/3

Lowest Common denominator is 12 (both 3 and 4 go into 12)

now, -5/4 is equal to -15/12

and 2/3 is equal to 8/12

so we have

-15/12 - 8/12

= - (15 + 8)/12

= - 23/12
